So what’s this interweb thingy all about then ? I keep bein’ told I need to get myself plugged in, wired up, downloaded and blogged up…so I thought I’d give it a go. My son in law set this blog thingy up for me and I have to learn how to update it, but I will try to talk to you as often as I can. My son in law says I have a “Global audiance” now I’m on line, and so I have a responsability to talk to you all. So, what do you want to know ? ask me anything and I’ll share the experiance of my years with you…
First, I’ll tell you a bit about me…I’m 66 this year, and after my retirment last year I have been learning about the interweb and such like…I have worked in the building trade all my life, for various building companies and have most recently been a site manager. I have worked for most of the big builders and have won NHBC awards for my sites. I am now retired and am spending more time at home, on the garden, working on my own house, with my grandson and family.
To start I thought I would talk to you about Bantams…you know, like chickens, but smaller…well, my old dad used to keep Bantams, and not many people seem to do it now. More people keep chickens these days. I remember when I was a boy, being chased round the garden by our Dads Bantam. They were vicious buggers, or at least they seemed it to me back then. I can’t say they were pets cos they weren’t, not like the cats and dogs we had, they were a food source. Like lots of people back then, my old dad had his veg patch and we were fairly self sufficient, which we had to be, as there were no supermarkets nearby for us to visit. We lived in the country between Chippenham and Swindon, and 60 odd years ago, there was no easy way to get to either, you either walked or got on your bike.
Anyhow, I’m off the point a bit here, so Bantams, like chickens, smaller and vicious…

…anything else you want to know about anything…let me know.
Thanks
Les.
